About Surface Beach Volleyball Club

• Coach Eric Poppelman envisioned his beach club and developed his program after winning his second club national championship with Northern Lights. The first program in MN to offer Boys AND Girls an opportunity to learn and play Beach.

• 25 years of coaching experience
• Current Mahtomedi Girls and Former Boys HS Volleyball 
• 5th in State Tournament AAA for Mahtomedi Girls in 2024 Season
• 3 Straight Section AAA Champs 2022-
• M1 15-1's and M1 13-2's in 2025
• USA Volleyball Beach Para Volley Program Director and HC (2022)
• M1, MN Select, Northen Lights, Milwaukee Sting (WI), 1st Alliance (IL), Lions Jrs (IL), South Florida Jrs (FL) 
• St Kate's Asst., Cardinal Stritch University Head Men's and Women's HC, University of Illinois-Chicago Volunteer Asst.
• Numerous college camps and clinics including as a Court Coach for Badger, Gopher, and Husker summer camps.

Beach Camp

•  Camp style demos, drills, games, and play: 8:45-11:45 am
• 90-120 minutes of skill development followed by 60-90 minutes of game like drills and play.
• $35/day/player
• Dates Available: 6/9, 6/16, 6/23, 6/30, 7/7, 7/14, 7/21, 7/28
• Full Season Discount $249 ($31 value)

In House Tournament Days  

 20 Teams max per day with 1st come 1st served in registration!! Both members of the Team must be registered to claim your spot officially.

• Team arrival 8:15 am check in and warm up
• Matches 8:30-11:30 am
• Teams will be in pools or brackets depending on number of teams per day.
• Teams Leveled based on ability. (Upper and Lower) 
• $35/player ($70/team)
• Dates Available: 6/11, 6/18, 6/25, 7/1, 7/2, 7/8, 7/9, 7/15, 7/16, 7/22, 7/23, 7/29, and 7/30
• Full Season Discount $399 ($56 value)
• Awards may be available for Division Winners only.

• Each Player registers and lists their Partner's name
• BOTH Players must register AND complete waivers to confirm and hold their spot
